Green tea has important antioxidants and compounds that help in maintaining good health. Researchers have spent more than a decade's worth of research proving green tea's health benefits-particularly its potential to fight heart disease and cancer and its role in warding off dementia, lowering cholesterol, preventing diabetes and stroke, and burning fat.

Most of the findings about green tea have come out of the lab. However, the human studies conducted have focused on green tea's impact on heart disease and cancer and are promising. One thing is for sure, it doesn't hurt to include green tea in your daily routine. So, drink up!
